Why study Information Systems Management?
The ongoing process of a growing networking and digitization of today’s society produces an increasing flood of data and information. In many branches information technology has become the key for competitiveness. The NSA spying scandal as well as catchwords like data protection or data preservation are the best illustration for the power of information and what the abuse thereof might cause.

The Master Program
Graduates of the Master´s program Information Systems Management will be able to develop complex IT solutions for the business and public sector. In today’s globalized world, excellent language skills are essential. Our internationally oriented Master´s program will therefore offer courses both in German and English to help prepare you for the international job market. A distinctive feature of the program is the focus on Computer Science. By choosing this master program you will study at one of the largest and most respectable schools for Computer Science in Germany and the Faculty of Economics and Management.

Program Structure
This two-year interdisciplinary program has a standard study period of four semesters. The curriculum consists of a more specialized course phase including elective modules (Wahlbereich) and the Master Thesis. The specialized course phase equips you with more detailed knowledge and enables you to sharpen your profile - depending on your targeted career and personal interests. Within the focus areas - Computer Science, Business Informatics and Economics & Management - you can choose modules from the catalogues Information Systems, Distributet Systems and Networks, Data and Software Engineering and Business, Economics and Management. An integral part of the program are projects that gives you the opportunity to practice your problem-solving skills and to work as part of a team. The elective moduls (Wahlbereich) offer you the possibility to broaden your scientific education and enable you to acquire further knowledge in other topics. The modules can be chosen freely from the courses offered by TU Berlin or by other universities. Upon successful completion of the Master`s program you will graduate as Master of Science.

Graduates of this program are well prepared to take up a range of managerial and leadership roles in the IT sector such as IT systems analyst, IT project manager, IT security manager, IT consultant, or CIO.
