Courses and programs
You want to start studying?
Bachelor, Diplom and Staatsexamen (state exam)
Below, you will find a survey of all study programs that lead to a first university degree.
Except for few programs, all study programs have been adapted to the requirements of the new bachelor’s degree. After three years of successful study, you get a first qualifying university degree, mostly the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.). With this degree, you can directly start to work, but usually you will continue your studies to aquire a consecutive master’s degree. Study programs leading to a Diplom degree or a Staatsexamen are currently planned to be adapted next year.
You want to continue your studies?
Consecutive master’s programs
You already have a first qualifying university degree (bachelor) but want to specialize further and deepen your professional knowledge? Enrolling in a master’s study program, in general you will graduate within four semesters. The master’s degree is equivalent to the former Diplom, Magister or Staatsexamen and enables the student to aquire a doctorate at a university.
Professional master’s programs
Professional master’s courses at the TU Berlin are mostly aimed at graduates with a professional background who want to study for further qualification besides their career. Usually, tuition fees are charged.
Further course programs
These study programs are aimed at the interested public with a vocational background or senior professionals. They do not lead to an academic degree.
Doctorates and post-graduate programs
Having completed your studies, you can aquire a doctorate at the TU Berlin.
